Based on the children’s
classic by Beatrix Potter - May 2006
For Pre-K through 3rd grades and all those young
at heart.
Produced in CCT's critically acclaimed style
of audience participation, sing-a-longs and a strong educational
message, this well loved story by Beatrix Potter comes to
life in a new musical for Pre-K through 3rd Grade. In this
tale of the disobedient bunny, Peter is more adolescent angst
than naughty little child. Admittedly this rabbit has family
troubles: single head of household, sibling rivalries, etc.
Chafing against his mother's concerns about safety and bugged
by his younger brothers and sisters Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-Tail,
Peter sets out to test his limits and explore Farmer MacGregor's
garden. Unfortunately, he gets caught by the 'rip-snortin'
hungry for rabbit stew' MacGregors. The lively music includes
pop-style songs, lullaby ballads and a rousing gospel number.
Educational Themes:
Listening to your parents, respecting other people’s
property and playing nicely with your brothers/sisters and
friends.
